What Lumora analyses, and what you get
What goes in
The resume you upload (PDF, Word or pasted text) and, only if you choose to tailor to a job, the job ad you paste. That's the working set. Lumora doesn't scrape your LinkedIn, doesn't crawl your name, and doesn't buy data about you.
What the free Resume Fix evaluates
How your resume reads to a skimming recruiter: the strength of your professional summary, whether claims carry evidence, filler and cliché wording, structure and length, and how cleanly the layout parses. You get a score, a weakness-by-weakness diagnosis, a rewritten summary, before/after bullet rewrites and wording fixes, free and copyable.
How career direction guidance works
From the same history: the diagnosis shows where you stand, occupation guides show what strong applications look like role by role, and honest gap language shows what a target role would still ask you to prove. No personality quiz, no psychometrics: evidence from what you've actually done.
What paid tailoring produces
For a one-time payment: your resume rewritten end-to-end (and matched to a specific job ad if you paste one), with honest keyword alignment. What the AI is used for, and not
Which AI, and for what
Language models from Anthropic (primary) and OpenAI (failover) read your resume text and draft the improved wording, diagnosis and documents. For voice interview practice, ElevenLabs turns text into speech. That's what the AI is for: reading and writing. Decisions stay with you.
Not used for training
Lumora uses these providers' commercial APIs, which under their terms do not use API data to train their models. Your resume is sent for processing only. It is not published, listed or shared beyond what's required to produce your results.
The honesty rule the AI runs under
Nothing is invented: no degrees, licences, jobs, dates, metrics or achievements you don't have. Where your resume shows no evidence for a requirement, Lumora says exactly that and asks whether you have a real example. A resume you can't defend in an interview is worse than the one you started with.
Where the human sits
You do. Lumora drafts; you review, edit and send. It never applies to jobs on your behalf, never contacts employers, and never publishes anything about you. The last mile is deliberately yours.

What it will not do
A tool you trust with your livelihood should be clearer about its limits than its marketing. These are Lumora's:
- AI can misread unusual formats: a heavily designed resume may parse imperfectly. Pasting plain text is the reliable fallback.
- Suggestions are suggestions. A rewritten bullet can miss context only you know. Read everything before you use it.
- It cannot promise outcomes. No interviews guaranteed, no jobs guaranteed, and no claim to "beat" applicant tracking systems. Be wary of tools that promise any of that.
- It is not career counselling, legal advice or migration advice. Circumstances need humans; Lumora covers the evidence and wording layer.
- Voice interview practice is in beta: it needs a microphone, a quiet room, and works best in Chrome or Edge.
- It does not connect you to employers or job listings. Lumora prepares applications; you apply where you choose (Seek, LinkedIn, Indeed, company sites, government portals).
Privacy and control, in four sentences.
Your resume is processed to produce your results, and that is all. It is never sold, and never shared with employers, recruiters or advertisers. Resume and job-ad text are never sent to analytics or advertising platforms. Payment cards are handled by Stripe and never touch Lumora's servers; deletion is a manual, honest process started by emailing support@lumoraapply.com.

Who is Lumora for?
Australian job seekers applying through Seek, LinkedIn, Indeed, government portals and company websites, across admin, trades and FIFO, retail and hospitality, healthcare, corporate and graduate roles, plus students (16+) building first applications, and the schools and employment services that support them through structured pilots.
Who is behind it?
Lumora is founded and built in Western Australia by Elvis D'silva, as an independent Australian product. It is deliberately a small operation: one builder, no offshore support team, and the data-handling page says plainly who can access what.
Is my resume used to train AI models?
No. Lumora uses commercial APIs from Anthropic and OpenAI which, under their terms, do not use API data for model training. Your resume is processed to produce your results and is never sold, and never shared with employers, recruiters or advertisers.
How do I delete my data?
Email support and it's handled as a manual process; there is no self-service delete button today, and we'd rather say that honestly than pretend otherwise. The privacy policy and data-handling page describe exactly what's stored and where.
Why should I trust the free fix isn't a trick?
